How to Plan your Garden Clearance

Whether you have recently moved into a property where the garden has been a little bit neglected, or whether you haven’t given your garden much love for a while, it might be time to roll your sleeves up and do a garden clearance! If the whole thing is looking a bit overwhelming here are some things that you should think about doing before you dive straight in with the shears!

Assess how bad it really is – for example is it a mass of weeds? Do you have a shed that is on the brink of collapse? If you think there is going to be a lot of stuff to get rid of from the garden, it is a good idea to find a local skip company who can bring you a skip like this Carmarthen skip hire company Pendragon skip hire.

Work out what your end goal is – do you want a complete clean slate, or do you want to keep some of the plants that you have in the garden? Identify what you are keeping an what you are getting rid of, and also how you foresee the garden looking once you have cleared it out.

If you are going to be making changes – for example, adding decking, a patio, a hot tub or a new shed, make plans for where things will be going before you start to work on the garden, as then you will be working with the image of how it will turn out.
