Is the boiler humming a tune?

Are you aware of strange noises coming from the house? You can hear a humming sounding somewhere perhaps? There is a very good chance that it is the boiler and some noises are ok but others are not. All appliances make a noisem it is just the nature of things but some other sounds could be telling you that the boiler needs attention. If you had used the Boiler Installation Gloucester based company such as the one in the link at least you will know it’s not that that is causing it.

One of the most common noises that you can hear is a whistling and steaming. These are common issues that can usually be fixed with a little care and attention from yourself. What needs to happen here is an easy technique that we call bleeding the radiators.

The sound that you hear is probably caused by a build of steam and pressure in the pipes from the boiler. With nowhere to go air is trapped and the water that warms the radiators has nowhere to go. All you have to do is release that pressure and the bleeding is the key. You will need a radiator bleed key and these are easy to get hold off. The other thing you will need is a cloth. On each radiator there is a small valve. Using the radiator key you can turn the valve and let out the air that is in the pipes and the radiator. As soon as the air is gone the water will replace it. Just make sure that you do not leave the valve on for too long as the water will start to come out of the radiator.
