The different types of vehicle fleets

Large companies and corporations heavily rely on vehicle fleet management. They use this to deliver their products and services, but not all of the vehicles are the same. There is a diverse collection that businesses, employees, and even customers use on a regular basis.

Trucking fleets consist of individual tractors that are carrying trailers. Many different types of trucks can be seen on the motorway, carrying products for a brand or many different brands.

Delivery fleets are for more local use. Trucking fleets are used for long- haul drives, whereas on the other hand, delivery fleets are vehicles that take products from the transit centres to deliver them locally.

There are also taxi- cab fleets. Many taxi companies have fleets as well. All of the different types of taxis are parts of large corporate fleets and are deployed as service vehicles.

Another type of vehicle fleet are car rental fleets. Large rental companies own many vehicles that can be rented. These fleets are ginormous and are deployed at airports, body shops, and various other locations nationwide. These fleets are also conveniently placed in areas that ensure a car can be rented when needed. This is similar to truck rental companies as they own a fleet of individual trucks, ready for use at any time.

Public utility fleets are fleets used by utility companies to deliver and repair maintenance services. The company sends out service employees who use fleet vehicles.
