Update your Kitchen with Colour

The kitchen is probably the most used room in your home. As well as being the obvious room where all of the cooking is done, the kitchen tends to be the room where everyone congregates, and swaps stories about their day, or enjoys a drink. Kids may do their homework at the kitchen table and if you have been working from home lately you probably do too!

With this in mind it probably also receives the most wear and tear – and with everyone being at home even more over the last few months, this has probably meant that the wear and tear has increased even more!

There are many easy ways to give your kitchen a new lease of life – from new kitchen cupboards, to new laminate wood flooring from https://www.irwintiles.ie/wooden-flooring/laminate-flooring.html – but one of the easiest and cheapest ways to make a big difference is a fresh coat of paint. Here are some popular kitchen paint colours for kitchens, and how they can make a difference to the feel of the room…

Yellow – A popular kitchen colour, yellow is the colour of sunshine and happiness. In the kitchen it invokes feelings of warm, cosy country kitchens and freshly baked cakes.

White – Crisp and bright, white can open up a small kitchen, as well as making the room feel clean (perfect for a kitchen) and gives it a bright and fresh feeling.

Blue – Dark or light, blue is a calming colour – so if your kitchen is a busy place, this is perfect. A light blue can make the kitchen feel brighter, whereas you may like to add a dark blue feature wall for a modern and sophisticated look.
